 Mitch MacKenzie is a lifelong aviator and the founder of Atlas Imaging, a cutting-edge aerial imaging company delivering high-precision drone data to help businesses increase productivity and reduce operational costs. With over 100 hours of helicopter flight time and FAA Part 107 certification, Mitch brings a deep understanding of aviation and a bold vision for the future of aerial data capture.

Mitch began flying helicopters at the age of 15, earning his stripes early and rising to become the General Manager of a Baltimore-based helicopter tour company by 17. After university, he served as the Managing Partner of Thoroughbred Air Synergies, a startup focused on improving cost-efficiency for helicopter operators. It was there he had a pivotal realization: the future of aerial services lies not in helicopters, but in unmanned systems.

Recognizing the transformational potential of drone technology, Mitch founded Atlas Imaging to bridge the gap between traditional aviation and the evolving demands of industries like construction, infrastructure, and land development. Today, Atlas Imaging empowers companies with advanced drone-based solutions—from 3D mapping and progress monitoring to infrastructure inspections and environmental analysis—at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.
